Rain Happens

Well here sits Gary in his office, or should I say on the cement slab the shed will sit on. The shed was ordered 9 weeks ago and we were told 3-6 weeks. So after 8 weeks it finally arrived only to be told it could not be delivered and set up for 2 more weeks!!!! Our furniture from Canada came and was in our house faster than that. Maybe we should have had one sent from Canada? Everything in the house is in a bit of a tip waiting for the shed. We have livingroom chairs in our bedroom because some of the furniture in the living room is going in the family room but most of what is going in the shed is in the family room including the dozens of boxes of Garys book, the book shelves and love seat and chair. We also have not hung any pictures in the house because that is hard to do until the furniture is where you want it. We also bought light fixtures, because most of the house had only bare bulbs and the ones that had a fixture it was just a paper shade hanging on the bulb, resembling a wasps nest. But this too had a tie to the shed because we did not want to pay the electrician twice so we were waiting to have them put up when the shed got its electrical done. I am very tired of bare bulbs and wasps nests.I am also waiting to paint my bedroom, which is a nice shade of purple, but there is too much stuff in the room to get around. Well enough of the moaning. We still live better than most people in the world. We do however have a beautiful Victorian syle fireplace that we had cleaned so we could use and it gives us a wonderful cozy atmosphere at night during our rainy evenings. I would say it my favorite feature of the house!

I can completely relate to the half done-messy-nothing where you want it-and everything hinging on a couple things lifestyle. Hang in there fam! We'll get through it. Love you!

Love what you've done to your office Gar; very lending-to-one's visiting-you decor.
All kidding aside, it must be frustrating to be itching to get organized & have such a delay. Yep, the anal me would find it hard! I take it, it's raining...again!
Miss you guys, still prayin'

Hi Gary and Denise
Just a quick note from Chillwack, BC I have kept the little blue card that we got at the church in summerland and have prayed for you folks. I promise to continue! I am Jackie, Ashley's Mom. You both have made an impact on so many people not excluding myself and family. Our prayers will continue and we will watch and read hear (Thanks Ashley for showing me this blog) about the things God is doing in your New Home.
Hugs and Prayers
Jackie

PS... Ashley looks so cute with her "baby bump" :)
