We would like to take this time to say Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to all. For unto us a saviour is born.

This is what a great influence Tianna is on her sisters.! I'm thinking it may be a good thing she is not moving to Ireland with us. Who knows what she would get them to do in the future.
Camera+boredom=well you get the picture! As you can see I got into the picture as well, I couldn't let them have all the fun. But I thought you should also see how beautiful and angelic they can be if they want. Always remember to click on the pic to get a bigger pic, you must see them in all their glory!!

As we prepare to have what may be our last Christmas in Canada, I must say the cold will not be missed. We have been below freezing for almost two weeks now and the rain and clouds are starting to become attractive. I will miss the snow however. Here is a picture of Summerland Baptist at sunset. Doesn't God paint a beautiful picture? We are sure there are more beautiful pictures to see in Ireland as well.

Old Irish Blessing
May those who love us, love us
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts;
And if He doesn't turn their hearts
May He turn their ankles
So we'll know them
by their limping

Here is the family! Tianna and Luke are in the middle back. They are not coming with us to Ireland (for now Hee Hee). Denise is in the red hair. Gary is on the far right. Kirbey is beside Gary. Shanaya is in white and TaLeah is in blue. Click on the picture to see us up closer.

Here are a few pics and maps to help you all out. First we are going to the Republic of Ireland. Not Northern Ireland. There are a lot of people who were worried about how safe it would be for us. The Republic of Ireland for the most part has not been involved in what has happened in Northern Ireland. They are a separate country and have no ties to England or Great Britain. They have however joined the European Union and this has helped their economy greatly.

Why are we called Rain Happens? Well we are moving to Ireland so Gary can pastor over a church plant in Cork. Actually it is in Ballincollig which is just outside of Cork city in the county of Cork. We will be moving there at the end of June beginning of July. As for the Rain Happens part well-- it rains in Ireland and more so life is tough and rain happens. The verse we have tied to our choice of the name of our ministry is Matthew 7:24-27. If we build our life on the solid rock of Jesus when ,not if, but when the rain happens, we can stand firm. We have had some serious rain in our time and only felt the rain when we did not stand firm.
We also know the rain will hit the fan again and again and we must be ready. I know they are having their share of rain storms in Ireland now and we are trying to prepare ourselves to help in the storm come the time.
